  多年生草本,植株由着生于根出条上的莲座状叶丛形成疏丛。根出条节间长1-2厘米,幼时淡褐色,被稀疏柔毛,渐变无毛,老时呈紫褐色。莲座状叶丛直径通常1-2厘米;叶呈不明显的2型,外层叶舌状长圆形,长3-6毫米,先端钝或稍锐尖,近于无毛;内层叶椭圆状倒卵形至椭圆状倒披针形,干时变褐色,长5-15毫米,宽2.5-4毫米,先端钝圆,基部楔状渐狭,无柄,腹面无毛,背面被稀疏粗毛或有时近于无毛,边缘具开展的长髯毛。花葶单一,高2-7厘米,被长柔毛;伞形花序3-6花,苞片狭椭圆形或披针状长圆形,被白色长柔毛,长3-6毫米;花梗短于苞片或与苞片近等长,被长柔毛;花萼钟状,长约3毫米,分裂达中部,裂片卵圆形,先端稍钝,被柔毛;花冠白色或粉红色,直径6-9毫米,裂片阔倒卵形,近全缘。蒴果近球形,约与宿存花萼等长。花期6-7月。
  产于新疆(天山)。生于干旱的山坡和谷地,海拔2800-3000米。分布于苏联、蒙古。

Herbs perennial, laxly cespitose. Shoots with internodes 1--2 cm, sparsely pilose when young, becoming glabrous, purplish brown. Leaves sessile, obscurely dimorphic. Outer leaves ligulate-oblong, 3--6 mm, glabrescent, long ciliate, apex obtuse to acute. Inner leaves elliptic-obovate to elliptic-oblanceolate, 5--15 X 2.5--4 mm, becoming dark brown when dry, abaxially sparsely hirsute or sometimes glabrescent, long spreading fimbriate-ciliate, adaxially glabrous or sparsely pubescent, base cuneate-attenuate, apex obtuse. Scapes solitary, 2--7 cm, sparsely villous; umbels 3--6-flowered; bracts narrowly elliptic to oblong-lanceolate, leaflike, often conduplicate, with long whitish hairs. Pedicel ca. as long as to shorter than bracts. Calyx ca. 3 mm, parted to middle; lobes ovate, white sericeous, apex subobtuse. Corolla white or pink, 6--9 mm in diam.; lobes obovate to oblong obovate, margin entire or nearly so. Fl. Jun-Jul. 2n = 20.

This taxon is treated by most North American literature as Androsace chamaejasme Host subsp. lehmanniana (Sprengel) Hultén.
