General Culture:
Easily grown in average, medium wet, well-drained soil in full sun. Prefers fertile, slightly alkaline soils. Space plants 9-12" apart to promote good air circulation. Remove spent flowers to prolong bloom period.
Noteworthy Characteristics:
This hybrid dianthus is a compact, vigorous, clump-forming plant which features numerous, single, fringed, scented, smoky pink flowers on stems typically rising 10-12" tall in spring. May repeat bloom in autumn. Foliage consists of vigorous tufts of narrow, linear, silvery-blue leaves which remain attractive throughout the growing season.
Problems:
No serious insect or disease problems. Leaf spots can be a problem in humid conditions where plants are crowded. Crown rot may occur in wet, poorly-drained soil conditions.

Rock gardens, border fronts or edgings.
